decisions....decisions...

Around the end of 2008, I purchased a domain. It's been on the back burner for a while for lots of different reasons that I won't go into. But now, I'm ready to go live with it. My next big decision is to find a good, reliable, and economic hosting site. I don't want all the bells and whistles.....not yet anyway. Those will come later, along with selling from my site too. For now, I want to be able to just do the basic stuff, upload my jewelry photos, give business info, link to my shops, etc. So..I'm on the search, and I'm really excited! Over this past weekend, it rained a lot, so of course that meant staying inside and playing with my beads. It was SO difficult, but somebody had to do it! :) I made 1 necklace and 3 pairs of earrings, with this pair being one of them. I use the natural light from outdoors to take photos, but it's been cloudy and rainy lately, so Ive been waiting to take my pics. Even though it was still cloudy today, I was able to get a few. These earrings are called, "Soft as a Whisper." I love the way the pale aqua Chalcedony blends with the gorgeous glass Lampworks. I listed these beauties for sale today. To see and read more about them, just go to my Etsy Shop. Until next time...Peace!

Focusing on business and A new necklace!

My poor blog must be feeling so lonely lately... I havn't posted in 7 days! I've just been so busy working on my jewelry business. I've ordered business cards, return addy labels, oversized post cards, a "thank you"stamp with my business name, and even a car magnet! All of which will reflect the same design/logo. A good friend of mine (I call her D) said that it helps to be consistant with a design or logo so that shoppers will eventually recognise you. She didn't say that in those exact words, but that's pretty much what she meant. And hopefully... I'm on my way to doing just that! In the meantime...I have listed one of my newest necklaces to my 1000Markets Shop. I call her, "Carmen." She is designed with light amethyst Czech Glass rondelles and Peridot gem rounds surrounding a single puffed Bloodstone teardrop. To read more about it, click here. I've also made a couple of pairs of earrings. One with mini glass Lampworks, and another with white Jasper briolettes. Yummy! Both pairs will be listed for sale once Mother Nature cooperates and will let me take some decent photos. Until next time, have a beautiful Sunday! :D

Some new pieces here & there

I devoted most of my Sunday to editing photos and listing new jewelry pieces to my Etsy Shop and my 1000Markets Shop. I havn't been able to get much done lately due to my oh so loving degenerating health. lol! I know I shouldn't crack jokes about it...taking care of your health is extremely important, but when you have to deal with chronic pain everyday, you find ways to not let it get you down. Anyway, back to my new listings...this first piece is a lovely pair of earrings I call, "Tiffany." They adorn Czech glass beads & gold-brass beads on Antique Copper, and they really shine in the sun.
This next piece, "Aloha," is a fun necklace adorning a Sterling Silver flip-flop charm with amethyst Crystals as the centerpiece and links of light-amethyst Czech glass rondelles, faceted Pink Quartz, and the cutest green and bumpy Lampwork beads that I received from my friend, Studio Marcy. The chain is Sterling Silver and closes with a lobsterclaw clasp. Find this necklace in my Etsy Shop.
This last new listing is for, "Cherry Drops," a beautiful pair of earrings which contain gorgeous faceted Cherry Quartz rounds with Bali Flower beadcaps on Fine Silver earwires. You can find these in my Etsy Shop as well.

HandMade Beads & Jewelry Artisan ~ Fireball Beeds

Meet Lynne of "Fireball Beeds." She is a really sweet woman and has an awesome talent for making Lampwork beads and jewelry. Lynne is also a fellow team-mate on the Artisan Beaders Street Team.
This Lampwork tube bead titled, "Dreaming of a tropical island," is one of my favorites!
Lynne lives and creates on a small island called, "Deer Island," in New Brunswick, Canada. How cool is that! She also features her work in a seasonal gallery among other Canadian artists.
"We're Still Floating" A perfect title for this amazing bead which features floating jellyfish. See more of Lynne's beautiful work on her Flickr, her Website, and her Etsy Shop. You can also learn more about Lynne on her awesome Blog!
