When I began my beading venture over 2 years ago, I never dreamed that one of my pieces would actually be showcased in a bead magazine. This is a first for me, and I have to say, "I'm floating on cloud 149!!!" That's the page number that "My Avant-Garde Necklace" is on in the January 2009 issue of Bead Trends!
My sweet Mother-in-law (Flo) is always there for me...always bragging to her friends about the earrings I made for her and always reminding me of my talent for jewelry making. I can't tell you how many "bead finds" she has given me from her many yard sale adventures! I'm truely lucky to have her in my life, not only as my Mother-in-law, but as a Mother figure to me. I value her support and love she gives me, and I know she'll be so happy when I give her a copy of this Bead Trends issue. I can just see her now....taking it with her to her nail and hair and Dr. appointments and telling everyone, "My daughter made this!" This means more to me than I can even imagine right now.See more of my necklace at, "The Jewelry Box."
